I Just Wrote A Story

What’s your story? What’s her story? What’s their story? What’s the story here?

Everything about life is a story. No one person doesn’t have one. We all have this major one thing in common. In a world or universe of all the differences…. Everything, no matter what has this in common. Absolutely nothing is excluded from this one thing.

Your life is a story. Your movies are a story. Your books are stories. That’s all Facebook is.. your stories. Blogs are stories. The actual story of a story and the story behind the making of the story is pretty trippy when you go down the endless rabbit hole. Think about the story of the creation of a movie or show and it’s idea or plot. The story of the casting and billions of other side stories that are all contributors and more stories upon stories to make the ultimate story come to life on a screen. They are all stories. Episodes. Moments. Chapters. Memories. Series. Seasons. Short stories. Poems. Songs. Art…. all are collections of stories.

What stories are written about you? What stories do you want to be written about you? What stories about you are made up by others? What stories about you are true? Are you the villain or the hero in stories?

Your birth wasn’t even the start of your story. You are a spin off of show after show after show. Your stories date back to your ancestors and the beginning of time. And you know the only way to know that are… the stories… Cave drawings. The Bible. These are collections of stories we’ve been told. Who knows, maybe none of these stories are even true. What if what we have been told was someone’s creative writing and it was all fake. You’ve probably told millions of stories with a little white lie here and there. Then the people you tell get to catalog your story, they can then retell as their own. And so goes on the telephone game of story telling! Some truths to each story, but many different narratives along the way.

If this isn’t blowing your minds, like mine, think harder…

I had to tell this story to say: Be crazy. Have fun. Be boring. Be lazy. Wave at strangers. Talk to strangers. (In well lit areas preferably near crowds) Ask questions. Make memories. Change your character in different stories of your life. Maybe one day they will someday be telling your stories. Telling stories of you and about you. Maybe they will make a movie about you. Will your biography and auto biography be funny, boring, exciting, sad?!

Be the fun, sweet, kind, funny and “that one great story” people tell for years to come!
