This January makes one year of being single. Little backstory about me… I’ve NEVER been single. I met my husband when I was 15 and we were together 15 years. Then I was already in a relationship in the transition of it ending. That lasted about 4 years. That brings us to here and now.
Never being a single adult and thrown into it during a worldwide pandemic was epic timing! After I kicked my ass and stopped feeling sorry for myself, I sold everything (down to, taking down every blind in the windows), renovated, or completely redecorated every room in the home I own. Everything was closed and nothing else to do. I live in Florida, so we opened up a bit and then I was able to meet some new people and back to hanging with old friends too!
Now to “Find a Suitor for Sister Sara”… I’m not looking, but if it happens it happens..
Anyone else feel like dating is like buying a used car? You gotta look at several options, test drive, check for bumps and scratches, investigate the car history, see if they were a pet owner, kids, smoker, how old, how many previous owners, how many miles, what kind of insurance will it need……
I’ve built some walls, and shut down every option. Cheers to 2021, keeping an open mind and heart.
