If I Only Had a Brain

The scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz wants a brain for thoughts. Yet, he always provides the solution he “thunk” himself. He was merely a day old when Dorthy came across his field. So, imagine, how different would his thoughts be, had he been around longer to see more, to witness more, to read, to learn, to have other influences on his thought? Could it be a benefit to see things for exactly what they are, or have the knowledge and tools to make a more calculated “thought or choice”. Neither are wrong, and neither are right…

Last post I spoke on how impactful words are. But, where do these words we choose to speak manifest from? Our thoughts? And how do we as humans decide our thoughts, words and choices? I’m blowing my own mind trying to think which comes first. It’s like the chicken and the egg. Do you make a choice without thought or do you think about the choice to make?

You can decide what you know or believe. You can have the choice, to think what you want. So what’s the truth?

The scarecrow made choices essentially without thought… but, did he really? Just because he came up with solutions from naivety or innocence does not mean his choices were bad or wrong. His choices came out of what his simple thoughts seemed appropriate or necessary. Could, the all knowing, knowledgeable, and powerful Oz had better problem solving with his vast experience? Or would he have a over convoluted plan of attack?

All the above end in a question. Not on purpose. But, purposefully asked to create thoughts. And you have the choice what to think. So which is first.. choice or thought? I’ll leave with this, your choices and thoughts are yours. They can be good or bad. You get to decide. You can surround yourself with things, books, people and experience. These will all influence your choices and thoughts. So, think and choose wisely what and who you surround yourself with, it can determine where you lead yourself!
