As an artist, I get to meet and encounter all types of people. A lot of them are just looking to share a story or talk to a friendly face.

Today I was in the park with some pretty heavy foot traffic. Lots of, heys, hellos and smiles. Until Colin walked by with his adorable dog Bailey. Bailey deemed me a suitable human to speak with his owner, so we chatted!

Colin is an identical twin. He told me he was 40 years younger than I was. (76). Colin shared about his past loves, career(s), dogs, show dog, money management, hurricane life, and so much more. It was a pleasure to meet and listen to him tell all kinds of stories.

Colin left me with this. When people ask him how he’s doing, he responds with… “I can buy shoe laces and ice cream, so I’m doin’ just fine.”
